These percentages allocate the fee rewards collected from each trade (the trading fee minus Meteora's own protocol share). They do not describe the trading fee itself, which starts at 25% in the first second after launch and settles at 1% within a minute to deter snipers.
Profit only counts once it is settled
The vault uses its 30% share to fund equity-derivative positions: perpetual markets linked to stocks and the S&P 500 on Pacifica, a Solana perpetuals exchange. Positions can make or lose money, and leveraged positions can be liquidated.
When a position is closed and settled, the principal stays in the vault. Only realized profit after trading costs, funding and settlement costs is distributed:
A losing position reduces vault capital and distributes nothing. Unrealized gains are never claimable.
